Advice for Henna Artist & Clients regarding Corona COVID-19 Virus.

First of all you MUST ensure you are fit and healthy before taking on any henna bookings, this applies to BOTH the henna artist and client.

If you have travelled to any affected areas of COVID-19 or been in close contact with anyone who has been tested positive, please follow the guidelines as outlined on GOV. UK website.

If you are well and healthy to continue your henna bookings as per usual here are some tips to help avoid catching or spreading the COVID-19 Virus.

1. Contact your client(s) prior to your booking to ensure that they (the client and any family members you would be around at the time of booking) are well and have not come into any close contact with anyone infected with Corona virus COVID-19, or travelled from any affected areas in the last 14 days.

2. If anyone, you or your client(s) has any Flu-like symptoms (cough, difficulty in breathing or fever) you must avoid close contact with them. You may also need to cancel your booking to avoid the spread of infection and get tested via NHS to confirm if the COVID-19 has been contracted.

3. Always ensure you and your client thoroughly wash hands using an anti-bacterial soap (at least 20 seconds) before starting the henna application.

4. Henna application can take hours especially if it's bridal Henna and close contact cannot be avoided. In any case, try to have least amount of people around you where possible to minimise risks.

5. Carry anti-bacterial hand gel to apply during your bookings, or simply wash your hands if they are not clean.

6. Cover your mouth or nose with tissue (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze. Tissues must then be thrown in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards.

7. Do not touch your nose, mouth, eyes if your hands are not clean.
